As co-founder of Dance Arts Center of St. Charles and artistic director of Tenacity Dance Company, Taylor has made  her dream a reality. In opening this dance studio and offering young dancers the opportunity to grow as artists, the studio has truly become a second home.

Taylor has been dancing since the age of two and has studied all major styles of dance including ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, and tap. Her early dance training began as a student with The Academy of Dance Arts under former Prima Ballerina Sherry Moray and Ballet Master Avnun Yakubov. Taylor was a member of Illinois Ballet Theatre (IBT) where she focused on ballet, pointe, and contemporary styles for over 15 years. In addition, Taylor was a member of the prestigious Steppin' Out Dance Company under Director Donna Johnson and was an active member of Perseverance Dance Company. Taylor competed at many regional and national dance competitions over the years, frequently winning 1st Place Over All for her solo entrees in jazz, tap and lyrical. Since the age of 12, Taylor has been choreographing groups, solos, duets and trios for many competitions that have regularly received top awards. While attending Columbia College Chicago, where she studied for a Bachelors of Arts in Choreography, Taylor accepted an opportunity to be a member of the Joel Hall Dancers II where she danced professionally.

Taylor has spent her life in dance and is ready to share this joy with students she can call her own.  Bringing her love of dance to the next generation is the finalization in this next stage of her career.  She is excited to engage in a joint experience of dance, always moving forward.
